Another song from my unreleased album Coisas Sérias... Só que Não! – this one’s called Tenho Formigas. It’s a lighthearted track about the reality of living with a low income here in Seixal, Portugal, including the promises I’ve made to my wife. There’s even a nod to our neighbor’s place that always smelled like sewer pipes, and our yearly battle with ants that invade the kitchen every summer (which my wife absolutely despises!). Though I don’t mind them as much, it’s one of the reasons my wife dreams of moving – a dream we haven’t been able to make happen just yet.
